Canadian Participation at Esports Nations Cup

Esport Canada is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with OverActive Media, focused on supporting Canadian participation in nation-based esports competitions. This partnership establishes a collaborative framework to identify, prepare, and develop elite Canadian esports athletes and teams for international competition. As part of this effort, Esport Canada and OverActive Media will be applying to serve as Canada’s National Partner for the Esports Nations Cup (ENC), ensuring Canadian players have the support, resources, and opportunities to compete at the highest level. Through this partnership, Esport Canada and OverActive Media are committed to supporting the development and participation of Canadian players, strengthening the national esports ecosystem, and showcasing Canada’s talent on the global stage. Leveraging initiatives like the ENC, we aim to elevate the profile of Canadian esports, create broader opportunities for recognition and visibility, and highlight the extraordinary, untapped talent and potential of our athletes both nationally and internationally.

Endorsed Team Manager Application

As part of the ENC application process, Esport Canada is required to endorse a candidate to serve as Canada’s National Team Manager. The National Team Manager will act as the primary point of contact between Esport Canada, the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), and the Esports Nations Cup.

This role is responsible for coordinating communications with national teams; supporting the identification and selection of game coaches; and assisting coaches in the development of national rosters in collaboration with publishers, professional clubs, and players. The National Team Manager will also represent Canada onsite at official ENC-related events.

Interested individuals are invited to apply through Esport Canada by completing the internal application form below and by submitting the required National Team Manager application directly through the Esports Nations Cup website.

All applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, operating in accordance with recognized Canadian sport best practices, including the principles of fairness, transparency, objectivity, and conflict-of-interest management, as reflected in Sport Canada’s Sport Support Program expectations and the Canadian Olympic Committee’s governance frameworks.

The selected candidate will be contacted directly no later than January 30, 2026 to confirm Esport Canada’s endorsement as part of the ENC application process.
